San Bernardino is home to world-class shopping, mountain resorts, and the most affordable golfing in Southern California. Located in the heart of San Bernardino County, lying in the direct rain shadow of the San Bernardino Mountain Range at an elevation of 1046 feet and with a population around 189,401. Making up part of an area known as the "Inland Empire", San Bernardino is located 226 miles southeast of Las Vegas, 59 miles east of the metropolitan area of Los Angeles, and 107 miles north of San Diego. San Bernardino observes an average of 341 days of sunshine per year, with temperatures in the low 40's to high 70's in the winter months, and low 50's to 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer months. There are many activities to enjoy here, from relaxed to action-packed. Court Street Square is home to a number of festivals throughout the year. Then there is the California Theatre of the Performing Arts, CinemaStar 20 Empire Theatre, Inland Empire 66ers of San Bernardino Baseball, biking, boating/fishing, hiking/camping, golf, hang gliding/paragliding and skiing. There are a number of Night Clubs also in the immediate vicinity ranging from Hip Hop, Country, or Salsa Y Merengue. Also nearby are several Universities, along with literally a handful of community colleges to choose from.

In 1911, the National Orange Show as born as a citrus exhibit where growers gather to display their choicest fruits. It was launched with the purpose of being an asset to the California citrus fruit industry and its community.
Route 66 is an interstate highway that is very historic. A lot of American folklore regarding the freedom made possible by the great open-highway system found its manifestation with Route 66. In fact, there are songs, movies, and other pop culture products created to celebrate everything that is so awesome, distinctive, and historical about Route 66.
The historic California Theatre is a 1,718 seat auditorium built in 1928 as a vaudeville movie palace. Currently the theatre hosts a wide range of performance types including legitimate theatre, musicals, plays, symphony celebrity headliners, concerts, children theatre, ballet, recitals, fashion shows, corporate seminars, graduation exercises and naturalization ceremonies.

Mitla Cafe was founded in 1937 by Lucia Rodriguez and her then husband, Vicente Montaño. What started as a simple lunch counter on Route 66, quickly began to grow in popularity. After being widowed, Lucia later remarried to Salvador Rodriguez, and in the mid-1940’s helped expand Mitla Cafe to its current size.
